Start a USB Deployment

Once you've created your USB boot media, you're ready to deploy your image. To start the deployment, insert the USB drive into the PC that you want to reimage, and restart the device.

Note: It may be necessary to interrupt normal start-up to select the USB drive as a temporary boot device. Alternatively, you can change the boot order of the PC in the System Settings menu.

If the PC already has Windows installed, you'll be prompted again to press a key to boot to the USB drive.

Once SmartDeploy loads, a 30-second countdown will occur before the Unattended Deployment begins, using the options and settings that are specified in your answer file. You can press ESC to interrupt this countdown if you need to collect logs or perform other command line tasks. Otherwise, the deployment will continue automatically.
